for the Cirneco dell’Etna
I recently visited Helsinki for the Cirneco dell'Etna and Italian Greyhound Club show. On Saturday the Cirneco judge was Domenico Tricomi (Hadranensis) from Italy. With an entry of 45 his principle winners were: Best male FI Ch.MVA Iosono Romulus bred by Inka & Erja Luomanmaki and owned by Kenneth Skurnik. Best female and Best of Breed was Marisla's Alessandria bred by Marjo Lampela and owned by Heidi & Marko Anderson.
It was a beautiful hot day and the judging took place in the arena that was specially built by volunteers for the dog clubs. It stands on a lovely flat grass area with plenty of parking with a wooden chalet for refreshments.
It also has a built in race track fully fenced with starting blocks. A quite unique area.
On Sunday it was the sighthound specialty an official show awarding CC's. The judge for our breed was Tapio Eerola from Finland who awarded Best male and Best of Breed to FI & EE Ch. HEW-11 Lucky del Borgo di Pratica Anharbn. Lucky is bred by Roberto Nardini and now owned by Inka Luomanmaki & Marjo Lampela. Lucky was previously owned by myself here in UK. Best female was sister to the previous day's winner, .FIJW 2011 Marisla's Amantea owned by Pasi Raak & Jorma Ylinen & breeder.
Annikki Peltola made the 7 hour drive to bring FI & EE & SE Ch, FIW & FIJW 2009, NORDJW 2009, HEW 2010 Anharbn Yellow River (Jokinen) to visit me and also Anhabn Tango (Tango) was also visiting. On Sunday morning after Annikki's long drive home, her female FI Ch & FI LC Ch, NORDJW 2009, LC Derby Winner 2011 Vespinja's Europa whelped a litter of 5 males and 1 female. So timing just right, I think.
Another three import males are due into UK this autumn, two coming to my kennel at Anharbn and one going north to Jackie & Greg at Nakarat Kennel.
On Friday 27th July, C.I.B. & FI & LV & EE MVA & EE & LV JMVA & EEJV-08 Iosono Diamante whelped a litter of 3 male and 2 female for Iosono kennel, Finland. Tosca was bred to FI MVA Vespinja's Good One. Congratulations to Inka and Annikki.
